May Madness and Summer Plans

I can't believe it is the last day of May already! I have been playing a lot of catch up this month because I had two surgeries in April and lost half a thyroid. So May was pretty much me trying to recover my health and gear up for this summer's adventures.

Oh, and going to Corecon for the first time. I went as a Pokemon Roselia for one day. It took me hours to glue all the tiny jewels onto the roses, and several burnt fingers. Still totally worth the fun!

And now? I'm very excited for the SCBWI Regional Conference this September. The theme is "Harvesting Our Stories." Want to feed your creativity? Come too!

My goal is to hopefully polish my Cosmortalis and Agent Regalia drafts into something shiny by summer's end.

While I was in the middle of writing Snow White and Rosavere's misadventures, I wrote a poem about the first Rosavere's encounter with the lone ruby apple in the silver woods of the Wildershade. I was lucky to have it accepted for publication in Star*Line, a fabulous publication of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Poetry Association:
